SSJ's SOYA BREAD PAKODA


SSJ's SOYA BREAD PAKODA
Bored of your regular bread pakodas??? Try it with nutritions of Soya.

INGREDIENTS

  • Bread Slices – 4
  • Gram flour – 1cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Oil for frying

For Filling
  • Soya granules – ½ cup (soaked in hot water for 10 minutes)
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp.
  • Onion – 1/2 small, chopped
  • Green chilli – 1 chopped
  • Coriander – 1tsp. chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Dry mango powder – ¼ tsp.
  • Oil – 1tbsp.

METHOD

For Filling

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli and onion. Cook till onion change color.
  2. Add salt, red chili, dry mango powder and mix well.
  3. Add soaked soya granules and coriander. Cook for next 2-3 minutes. Keep aside.

How To Make Pakoda

In a big bowl mix gram flour, salt, red chili and some water. Mix well and make a smooth paste.
Spread soya mixture on a bread slice and cover it with another slice. Press softly to adjust the mixture well.
Heat 1tbsp. oil in a pan. Dip soya filled bread slices in gram flour mixture safely and well so it will cover from all sides.
Now shallow fry them in pan.
Serve hot.

NOTE
Mostly bread pakodas made by deep frying in oil but for health issues and to skip more oil, I always shallow fry them.
