SSJ’s IDLI BURGER PAKODA




Yesterday we had Idli – Sambhar in our dinner but some of idlis left so this idea came in mind to try new recipe with these leftover idlis.

INGREDIENTS

  • Idli – 4 pc.
  • Onion – 4 slim slices
  • Tomato – 4 slim slices
  • Tomato Ketchup – 4 tsp.
  • Coriander Chutney – 4tsp.
  • Salt to taste

For Batter
  • Gram Flour – 1cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander – 2tsp. , chopped
  • Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp.

For Coriander Chutney
  • Coriander – ½ cup
  • Onion – 2tsp.
  • Ginger – 1tsp.
  • Green Chili – 2
  • Curd / Yogurt – 2tsp.
  • Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying

METHOD

For Coriander Chutney
Put all the ingredients in mixer and make a smooth chutney.

For Batter
Mix gram flour, salt, red chili powder and make a thick better with water. Mix chopped coriander in this mixture.

For Idli Pakoda
  • Slice idlis in two slices from middle.
  • Put 1tsp. tomato ketchup on upper part and coriander chutney on lower part.
  • Put onion slice on lower part, put tomato slice on onion and close this idli burger with upper part.
  • Made all idli burgers as well.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip idli burgers in gram flour batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden.
  • Serve hot.

 Tip : you can use this coriander chutney with many starters also.
