SSJ’s MUSHROOMS PAALAK in DAHI TADKA (MUSHROOMS SPINACH with YOGURT FRY)





INGREDIENTS

  • Mushrooms – 500 gms. , slices
  • Spinach – 1kg. chopped
  • Onion – 2, chopped
  • Garlic – 8-10cloves , chopped
  • Ginger – 2inched , chopped in strips
  • Green chili – 2 chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder – 1 tsp.
  • Turmeric – 1 tsp.
  • Curd / yogurt – ½ cup
  • Oil – 2tbsp.


METHOD

  • Boil spinach and make a smooth paste when cool in a mixer and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok. Add garlic and sauté for a minute then add onion, green chilies and ginger and cook till onion left oil.
  • Add mushrooms and sauté for a minute then add salt, turmeric and red chili powder and cook for a minute
  • Now add curd / yogurt and cook for next 5 minutes on medium heat.
  • Now add spinach paste and mix well.
  • Now cover the wok and cook for 10-15minutes on low heat.
  • Serve hot.
