SSJ’s PINEAPPLE ROLLER-TOASTERS




So strawberry gone and pineapple on in new style that you never had before, I bet.
From so many days I was trying many things in deep fried but pineapple in this style I have never thought before.

Just 2 days back the idea came in my mind. And I make it now today and it taste amazingly different and delicious. Today I don’t have much time to write down more so here is the recipe…

INGREDIENTS

  • Pineapple slices – 1 thick, sliced in strips
  • All Purpose Flour – 1cup
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Sugar – ½ cup

METHOD

  • Sieve all purpose flour with some water and 1tsp. oil and keep it in fridge for 5minutes.
  • Now roll it like slim bread and cut slim strips.
  • Cover pineapple sticks with all purpose flour stripe by rolling them round.
  • Heat oil in a deep wok and fry these roller-toasters till golden crisp and keep aside.
  • Now heat sugar with ¼ cup water and make thick sugar syrup.
  • Dip those roller-toasters in sugar syrup and chill instantly.
  • Serve chill.

SSJ’s STRAWBERRY SURPRISE



Its 5th day of April Recipe Week and the last recipe of strawberries now. You must amazed of “Surprise” including in title but the main ingredient after strawberry is really a surprise in this recipe that when you taste it, you can’t recognize it. And you know what’s that??? That is OATS…

Oats in a dessert…some  of you can’t think of it and believe me, my thinking was also like the same before I have tried it and when the recipe was ready, I was amazed after tasting that oats made it so delicious and can’t even noticed that oats was there in a layer.

So now I won’t take your more time. Just go to recipe now…

INGREDIENTS

Makes 4 Surprise Bowls

  • Strawberries – 50gms. Sliced
  • Marie biscuits – 16
  • Oats – 1pk. of 30gms. ( I have used strawberry flavored oats but you can use simple one)
  • Fresh Cream – ½ cup
  • Strawberry Crush – 1tsp.(if you are using simple oats then only)
  • Honey – 2tbsp.
  • Milk – 1cup
METHOD

  • Take 4 small (cup sized) dessert bowls.
  • Mix oats with cream and honey. include strawberry crush also if you are using simple oats.
  • Now dip marie biscuit in milk and when it becomes soft, make a layer or marie in bowl as 2 biscuits each bowl.
  • Now make a thick layer of about 1” of oats mixture over it.
  • Now make a layer of sliced strawberries over it.
  • Again make a layer of  marie biscuits (2biscuits each bowl)
  • At last put 1 tsp. of oats mix on top of bowl and decorate with sliced strawberries.
  • Chill bowls for 15-20 minutes and serve with some strawberry crush over it.

SSJ’s NUT-BERRY BARS



So hows you Happy-Eaters? As I told you earlier about my madness for strawberries, I can’t stop making more and more recipes including strawberry and the new recipe will be better again and again.

In this recipe the name contains NUT-BERRY because it was made of 2 basic ingredients. One is Strawberry and second is Coconut. Trust me it is so moist and juicy that you can’t stop eating on one bar.

Recipe is so simple that no cooking required and ingredients are so simple and minimum and easily available also so just made it for weekend and enjoy with your family as I did last week.

Here is the recipe…

INGREDIENTS

Makes 6 Bars

  • Strawberries – 50gms. Chopped
  • Coconut – shredded 50gms.
  • Condensed Milk – ¼ cup
  • Strawberry crush – 1tsp.

METHOD

  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Make bars shaped and roll in shredded coconut.
  • Chill to set for 30minutes.
  • Enjoy…

SSJ’s GRILLED CREAMY STRAWBERRY SANDWICHES



It’s the season of strawberries here and that’s why I am having it daily. You can make smoothies, desserts or eat raw strawberries but why not in sandwiches.

Here is the idea came to have a strawberry sandwich but if I make it as regular sandwich than strawberry become salty and the taste goes down so I have to mix with something to enhance the flavor so I have added cream and some drop of strawberry crush for sweetness and the result is so moist and delicious sandwich. Crunchy from out side and soft from inside.

When you grill this sandwich, strawberry become bit soft and cream gave the best flavor to it. So don’t wait long now and come to the recipe…

INGREDIENTS

Makes 4 sandwiches

Bread Slices – 4
Strawberries – 50 gms. Sliced
Fresh Cream – 100ml.
Strawberry Crush – 2tbsp.
Butter for grilling

METHOD

  • Mix fresh cream with strawberry crush well and spread on one sided on all 4 slices.
  • Put sliced strawberries on 2 slices and cover with another 2 slices.
  • Now grill these sandwiches in griller or grill sandwich maker with butter.
  • Chop one strawberry in cream mix and top it on sandwiches when serve.


Try it warm or chill, depends on yours choice.

SSJ’s STRAWBERRY BISCUITTIE SANDWICH




So Happy-Eaters, here is another sweet recipe for this month and as promised of fruit, strawberry will make it heaven.

You all must made some cheesecake, truffles or something more with marie biscuits so as me. Now a day here I have found fresh strawberries easily and they are so juicy that I can’t resist my self to take some boxes every week. Strawberry is one of my favorite from many years and also kids loves them so try this recipe for your kids and they will fall in love with it and ask for more and more.

The main thing is that this recipe is also made of minimum ingredients and so fast to make. You can eat it anytime you like either after meal or just like to have it. But it tastes best when eat chilling.

All ingredients have good health benefits as strawberry or fresh cream and honey also. Just one ingredient I am using here with some artificial things is strawberry crush because whichever is company but 100percent purity is never available in crushes.

So now its time for the recipe…

INGREDIENTS

Makes 4 Biscuitties

  • Fresh Strawberries – 1box (100gms.)
  • Marie biscuits – 16
  • Fresh cream – 100ml.
  • Honey – 1tbsp.
  • Strawberry crush – 1tbsp.
  • Milk – 1cup


METHOD

  • Mix cream with strawberry crush and honey well and chill for 5minutes.
  • Now slice all strawberries except one and keep ready.
  • Put 4 marie biscuit on your rack. Spread cream mix on all biscuits and pur strawberry slices on all biscuits.
  • Now dip 4 biscuit in milk and when is becomes semi soft, put them on strawberry slices.
  • Again spread cream mix on is and cover with strawberry slices.
  • Now cover is again  with milk dipped semi soft biscuit.
  • Again spread cream mix, cover it with sliced strawberries.
  • At last spread cream mix on strawberries and cover with dry bicuit.
  • Press a bit softly to adjust well.
  • Chop last strawberry well and mix well in cream mix and put one tsp. on ready biscuittie.
  • Now put all these biscuitties in freezer for 10 minutes.
  • Serve chill.

SSJ’s SHAHI STICKS with MANGO HONEY SAUCE



So finally I am back with my new recipes for APRIL’s RECIPE WEEK and this is the first dish.

In India “Shahi Tukda” is a very popular dish where we deep fried bread slices in Ghee (Clarified Butter) then make them sweet with sugar syrup and give them different toppings like Rabri or so much options but the main thing is that dessert is so heavy because of deep frying with clarified butter.

From starting this idea was stuck in my mind but never got the real shape. Last week when my sister was came to our home some vacations that time I was busy but when I got some free time, again the idea came in my mind and the recipe was ready in few minutes.

This is so easy that your kids can also make this because minimum cooking included and taste will be awesome. Also including the fruit is a healthy option in this recipe. The main part of “Deep Frying” was changed to stir fry and that’s also in simple butter or I will recommend cooking oil because when will chill it, butter will not give the best taste. In my recipe we will not make simple sugar syrup but vanilla sugar syrup with mild flavor of cardamom also.

Now I won’t let you wait more. Here is the delicious recipe…


INGREDIENTS

For Shahi Sticks :
Bread Slices (without crusts) – 2 (cut in 1cm.thick and 2inch long sticks)
Oil – 1tbsp.

For Sugar Syrup :
Sugar – 2tbsp.
Green cardamom – 2
Vanilla Essence – 4-5 drops (if you have fresh vanilla pods then that will be best)
Water – 1 ½ cup

For Mango Honey Sauce :
Fresh Mango Pulp – ½ cup
Fresh Cream – ½ cup
Honey – 2tsp.
Cinnamon Powder – 1tsp.
Condensed Milk – 1tbsp. (optional)

METHOD

For Shahi Sticks :
Microwave bread sticks in a bowl for 1 minute in 15seconds interval to make them hard and crispy.
Now heat oil in pan and stir fry crispy bread sticks by changing all sided till all sided become golden.
Keep aside for cooling.

For Sugar Syrup :
Heat water in a saucepan. Add sugar and crush cardamom and add them too.
Cook on high heat till sugar dissolves.
Now cool it and also add vanilla essence.

For Mango Honey Sauce :
Mix all the ingredients well. If your cream is not thick well then only add condensed milk, else you can skip it.

To Serve :
Spread crispy bread sticks in a plate. Now spread vanilla sugar syrup on all sticks.
Mix for 2seconds and take away sticks immediately before syrup make them soft.
Serve immediately with mango honey sauce.


Just try it once and there is uncountable options for changing the fruit. You can use orange or strawberry or kiwi or blueberry with your choice. Important part is cooling in this recipe. Always cool bread sticks after frying and also vanilla syrup and dip bread sticks only when you are ready to serve or bread sticks will be soggy and taste will be change.
