SSJ’s SOYA & MUTTOR POHA PULAO
Poha (Flatted Rice) – 2 cups, washed through water for 3-4 minutes
Soya Granules – 1 cup, soaked
Green Peas (Muttor) – ½ cup (I have used frozen, if using simple than boil then before using)
Onion – 1, roughly chopped
Tomato – 1 , roughly chopped
Salt to taste
Turmeric – ½ tsp.
Red chili powder – 1 tsp.
Dry mango powder – ½ tsp.
Mustard seeds – 1tsp.
Kari Patta – 12-14
Green chilies – 2-3 slit in between
Oil – 2tbsp.
Heat oil in a deep skillet. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
Now add kari patta and when it crackles, add chopped onion and green chilies.
Cook on high heat for 2 minutes and add chopped tomatoes and cook till tomato start soften.
Add all spices and mix well.
Now add green peas and soaked soya granules and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
At last add Poha and mix well with soft hands and just cook 2 more minutes on high heat.
Serve hot with garnish of tomato slices.
