SSJ’s POHA BALLS WITH STRAWBERRY COMPOTE (VALENTINES SPL.)




Hey Happy-Eaters,

                   After many days finally I am here with you to share a new recipe dedicated to Valentines Day specially. Again it’s totally different from all the dishes/recipes which you had ever as dessert but trust me, change is always a need to enjoy more and more. Lets go now to the recipe… it have two different elements together to make it 1 is POHA and another is STRAWBERRY. Confused ??? hehehe don’t be… come and explore it now…



SSJ’s POHA BALLS WITH STRAWBERRY COMPOTE (VALENTINES SPL.)



INGREDIENTS



For Poha Balls :

Poha (Flatted Rice) – 1 cup (soaked)

Maida (All purpose Flour) – 1tbsp.

Sugar – ½ cup

Oil for frying



For Strawberry Compote :

Sugar ¼ cup(powdered)

Strawberry – ½ cup



METHOD



For Poha Balls :

Mix soaked soft poha with maida and made small balls.

Now deep fry these poha balls for approximately 12 minutes on medium heat. If you need them softer then you can either steam them for 3-4 minutes.

Make thin sugar syrup of ½ cup sugar with ½ cup water. Cut Poha Balls(Fried/Steamed) in half and Dip them in sugar syrup for minimum 30 minutes.



For Strawberry Compote :

Cut strawberries in small slices and put them in a pan on medium heat and let them start flowing their juices, approx -2-3 minutes.

Add ¼ cup sugar and let it mix with strawberry juices and get thick. Cook around 3-4 minutes and serve it on ready Poha Balls.
